Muhammad has narrated from al-âAmrakiy from Ali ibn Jaâfar who has said the following: âI once asked abu al-Hassan (a.s.), about a man who performs Salah (prayer) with a lamp placed in his front in the direction of al-Qiblah (al-Kaâbah).
He (the Imam) said, âIt is not proper for him to face fire.â It is also narrated that it is not an offense because the One for whom Salah (prayer) is performed is closer to one (person performing Salah (prayer)).ââ رس٠- Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (MirʾÄt al-Ê¿UqÅ«l fÄ« Sharḥ AkhbÄr Äl al-RasÅ«l (15/296))
