Al-Kāfi - The Book of Prayer

Chapter: Kinds of Clothes in Which It Is Undesirable to Perform Salah (Prayer) As Well As Otherwise َّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنِ الْعَ٠ْرَكِيِّ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ جَعْفَرٍ عَنْ أَخِيهِ أَبِي الْحَسَنِ (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلا٠) قَالَ سَأَلْتُهُ عَنْ رَجُلٍ صَلَّى وَفِي كُ٠ِّهِ طَيْرٌ قَالَ إِنْ خَافَ الذَّهَابَ عَلَيْهِ فَلاَ بَأْسَ قَالَ وَسَأَلْتُهُ عَنِ الْخَلاَخِلِ هَلْ يَصْلُحُ لِلنِّسَاءِ وَالصِّبْيَانِ لُبْسُهَا فَقَالَ إِذَا كَانَتْ صَ٠َّاءَ فَلاَ بَأْسَ وَإِنْ كَانَتْ لَهَا صَوْتٌ فَلاَ.

He (the Imam) said, ‘It is not an offense if they are silent, but if they make noise then it is not permissible.’” صحيح - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (5/322))
