Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Muhammad ibn al-Husayn from âUthman ibn âIsa from Samaâah who has said the following: âI once asked abu âAbd Allah (a.s.), about Salah (prayer) on Friday. He (the Imam) said, âWith Imam it is two Rakâat but if one performs it alone, it is four Rakâat like al-Dhuhr Salah (prayer).
If there is an Imam he delivers a speech but if the Imam who delivers a speech is not there, then it is four Rakâat even if performed in congregation.ââ ÙØ«Ù - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (MirʾÄt al-Ê¿UqÅ«l fÄ« Sharḥ AkhbÄr Äl al-RasÅ«l (5/354))
