A number of our people have narrated from Ahmad ibn abu âAbd Allah from Yaâqub ibn Yazid and other people from Ziyad al- Qandiy from those whom he has mentioned who have said the following: âHe (the Imam) has said, âWhen you give charity, ask them to pray; their prayer for you is answered, but it is not heard for themselves.ââ Ø±Ø³Ù - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (MirʾÄt al-Ê¿UqÅ«l fÄ« Sharḥ AkhbÄr Äl al-RasÅ«l (16/144))
