A number of our people have narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from Ali ibn al-Hakam from Sayf ibn âAmirah from Hassan ibn Mukhtar who has said the following: âI asked abu â Abd Allah (a.s.), âWhat is continuous fasting?â He replied, âThe Messenger of Allah, O Allah, grant compensation to Muhammad and his family worthy of their services to Your cause, has said, âThere must be no continuous fasting, no fasting in the form of remaining silent the whole day, and setting free of a slave before owning is invalid.âââ جÙÙÙ - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (MirʾÄt al-Ê¿UqÅ«l fÄ« Sharḥ AkhbÄr Äl al-RasÅ«l (16/261))
