Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from Ibn Abi âUmayr from Aban ibn Taghlib from Zurarah who has said the following: âI once asked abu Jaâfar (a.s.), about a man who kills a man in the sacred area. He (the Imam) said, âHe owes one full and a half blood money, wergild.
He fasts for two consecutive months of the sacred months, sets free a slave and feeds sixty destitute people.â I then said, âWhat happens if something comes in between?â He (the Imam) said, âGive an example.â I said, âThe two âId and the days of tashriq (11, 12, and 13).â He (the Imam) said, âHe is required to fast because it is an established right on him.ââ Øس٠- Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (MirʾÄt al-Ê¿UqÅ«l fÄ« Sharḥ AkhbÄr Äl al-RasÅ«l (16/349))
