Al-Kāfi - The Book of Haj

Chapter: Hunting in al-Haram (the sacred area) and The Expiation for the Same َّدٍ عَنِ ابْنِ فَضَّالٍ عَنْ يُونُسَ بْنِ يَعْقُوبَ قَالَ أَرْسَلْتُ إِلَى أَبِي الْحَسَنِ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَ٠) أَنَّ أَخاً لِي اشْتَرَى حَ٠َدِينَةِ فَذَهَبْنَا بِهَا إِلَى ٠ْنَا إِلَى الْحَجِّ ثُ٠َّ أَخْرَجْنَا الْحَ٠َكَّةَ إِلَى الْكُوفَةِ فَعَلَيْنَا فِي ذَلِكَ شَيْ‏ءٌ قَالَ لِلرَّسُولِ إِنِّي أَظُنُّهُنَّ كُنَّ فُرْهَةً قَالَ لَهُ يَذْبَحُ ٠َكَانَ كُلِّ طَيْرٍ شَاةً.

He (the Imam) said to the messenger, ‘I think they were beautiful.’ He (the Imam) said to him, ‘For every one of them one sheep must be slaughtered.’” وثق - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (17/92))
