Al-Kāfi - The Book of Haj

Chapter: If People Neglect al-Hajj, Torment Will Come upon Them َّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْ٠َاعِيلَ عَنْ حَنَانِ بْنِ سَدِيرٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ ذَكَرْتُ لأَبِي جَعْفَرٍ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَ٠) الْبَيْتَ فَقَالَ لَوْ عَطَّلُوهُ سَنَةً وَاحِدَةً لَ٠2.

Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from Muhammad ibn Isma‘il from Hanan ibn Sadir from his father who has said the following: “I once mentioned the House before abu Ja‘far (a.s.), and he said, ‘If people neglect it one year, they will not be given any chance to avoid the coming of torment upon them.’” وثق - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (7/154))
