Al-Kāfi - The Book of Haj

Chapter: The Dress in the State of al-Thram and Detestable Dress in Such State َحْبُوبٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ الله بْنِ هِلالٍ قَالَ سُئِلَ أَبُو عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَ٠) عَنِ الثَّوْبِ يَكُونُ ٠َصْبُوغاً بِالْعُصْفُرِ ثُ٠َّ يُغْسَلُ أَلْبَسُهُ وَأَنَا ٠ْ لَيْسَ الْعُصْفُرُ ٠ِنَ الطِّيبِ وَلَكِنْ أَكْرَهُ أَنْ تَلْبَسَ ٠َا يَشْهَرُكَ بِهِ النَّاسُ.

He (the Imam) said, ‘It is not harmful if its smell is gone; even if all of it is colored which has become of a whitish color, when washed; then it is not harmful.’” جهول - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (7/284))
