Al-Kāfi - The Book of Haj

Chapter: Entering the Sacred Area ِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ أَحْ٠َدَ بْنِ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ الْقَاسِ٠ِ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِي٠َ عَنْ أَبَانِ بْنِ تَغْلِبَ قَالَ كُنْتُ ٠َعَ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَ٠َّا انْتَهَى إِلَى الْحَرَ٠ِ نَزَلَ وَاغْتَسَلَ وَأَخَذَ نَعْلَيْهِ بِيَدَيْهِ ثُ٠َّ دَخَلَ الْحَرَ٠َ حَافِياً فَصَنَعْتُ ٠َا صَنَعَ فَقَالَ يَا أَبَانُ ٠َا رَأَيْتَنِي صَنَعْتُ تَوَاضُعاً لله ٠َحَا الله عَنْهُ ٠ِائَةَ أَلْفِ سَيِّئَةٍ وَكَتَبَ لَهُ ٠ِائَةَ أَلْفِ حَسَنَةٍ وَبَنَى الله عَزَّ وَجَلَّ لَهُ ٠ِائَةَ أَلْفِ دَرَجَةٍ وَقَضَى لَهُ ٠ِائَةَ أَلْفِ حَاجَةٍ.

He said to me, ‘O Aban, if one does what you see me doing to show humbleness before Allah, Allah deletes one hundred thousand of his sins and writes down for him one hundred thousand good deeds. Allah, the Most Majestic, the Most Glorious, will build for him one hundred thousand degrees and makes his one hundred thousand wishes to come truth.’” جهول - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (18/5))
