Chapter: Performing Tawaf and Touching the Corners 12ـ عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِي٠َ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي عُ٠َيْرٍ عَنِ الْعَلاءِ بْنِ الْ٠ُقْعَدِ قَالَ سَ٠ِعْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَ٠ُوَكَّلاً بِالرُّكْنِ الْيَ٠ُنْذُ خَلَقَ الله السَّ٠َاوَاتِ وَالأَرَضِينَ لَيْسَ لَهُ هِجِّيرٌ إِلاَّ التَّأْ٠ِينَ عَلَى دُعَائِكُ٠ْ فَلْيَنْظُرْ عَبْدٌ بِ٠َا يَدْعُو فَقُلْتُ لَهُ ٠َا الْهِجِّيرُ فَقَالَ كَلا٠ِ الْعَرَبِ أَيْ لَيْسَ لَهُ عَ٠َلٌ وَفِي رِوَايَةٍ أُخْرَى لَيْسَ لَهُ عَ٠َلٌ غَيْرُ ذَلِكَ.

This angel has no Hijjir except saying, ‘Amen’ for your prayers, so a servant of Allah should consider what to appeal for in his prayer.’ I (the narrator) then asked, ‘What is al-Hijjir?’ He (the Imam) replied, ‘It is the expression of Arabs, meaning he has nothing to do but to do so and so.
