Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from Ibn Abi âUmayr and Safwan ibn Yahya from Muâawiyah ibn âAmmar who has said the following: âI once asked abu âAbd Allah (a.s.), about a man who is for al-Hajj al-Tamattuâ (advantageous) cuts his nails and takes certain amount of the hairs from his head with a blade.
He (the Imam) said, âIt is not harmful, everyone cannot not find scissors.ââ ØØ³Ù - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (MirʾÄt al-Ê¿UqÅ«l fÄ« Sharḥ AkhbÄr Äl al-RasÅ«l (18/81))
