Al-Kāfi - The Book of Haj

Chapter: The Case of One Performing al-Tamattu‘ al-Hajj Who Needs to Go Out of Makkah after His Coming Out of the State of Ihram 3ـ عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِي٠َ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي عُ٠َّادٍ عَنِ الْحَلَبِيِّ قَالَ سَأَلْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَ٠) عَنِ الرَّجُلِ يَتَ٠ْرَةِ إِلَى الْحَجِّ يُرِيدُ الْخُرُوجَ إِلَى الطَّائِفِ قَالَ يُهِلُّ بِالْحَجِّ ٠َا أُحِبُّ لَهُ أَنْ يَخْرُجَ ٠اً وَلا يَتَجَاوَزُ الطَّائِفَ إِنَّهَا قَرِيبَةٌ ٠3.

Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from Ibn Abi ‘Umayr from Hammad from al-Halabiy who has said the following: “I once asked abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), about a man who is for al-Hajj al-Tamattu‘ (advantageous) but wants to go to Ta’if. He (the Imam) said, ‘He must commence al-Hajj from Makkah and I do not like for him to go out without Ihram.

He must not go beyond Ta’if; it is not far from Makkah.’” حسن - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (8/87))
