Al-Kāfi - The Book of Haj

Chapter: The Limits of Time for Performing al-Hajj al-Tamattu َّدٍ عَنِ ابْنِ فَضَّالٍ عَنِ ابْنِ بُكَيْرٍ عَنْ بَعْضِ أَصْحَابِنَا أَنَّهُ سَأَلَ أَبَا عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَ٠َتَى تَكُونُ قَالَ يَتَ٠َا ظَنَّ أَنَّهُ يُدْرِكُ النَّاسَ بِ٠3.

Ahmad ibn Muhammad has narrated from ibn Faddal from ibn Bukayr form certain persons of our people who have said the following: “I once asked abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), about a man who is for al-Hajj al-Tamattu‘ (advantageous) when can he commence it? He (the Imam) said, ‘He can begin at a time within which he must have confidence to catch up with people in Mina.’” وثق - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (8/89))
