Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from a man who has said the following: âI once asked abu â Abd Allah (a.s.), about a man who offers a badanah but it suffers damage or is destroyed.
He (the Imam) said, âIf it is a binding obligation, he owes its replacement, otherwise, he is not obligated for anything in this matter.â I then asked, âCan he use it for food?â He (the Imam) said, âYes, he can do so.ââ رس٠- Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (MirʾÄt al-Ê¿UqÅ«l fÄ« Sharḥ AkhbÄr Äl al-RasÅ«l (18/171))
