Thawāb al-Aʿmāl wa ʿiqāb al-Aʿmāl - Rewards Chapter: Reward of having fever أَبِی ره قَالَ حَدَّثَنِی أَحْ٠َدُ بْنُ إِدْرِیسَ عَنْ ٠َدَ عَنِ الْهَیْثَ٠َسْرُوقٍ عَنْ شَیْخٍ ٠ِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا یُکَنَّی بِأَبِی عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ رَجُلٍ عَنْ أَبِی عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ص الْحُ٠َوْتِ وَ سِجْنُ اللَّهِ فِی أَرْضِهِ وَ فَوْرُهَا وَ حَرُّهَا ٠َ وَ هِیَ حَظُّ کُلِّ ٠1.

Imam Ja’far Sadiq (a.s.) narrates that the Holy Prophet (s.a.w.s.) said, “Fever is a spy of death and a prison of Allah on earth. High fever is from Hell and a part of fire for the believer.”
