Chapter: The Case of One Who During Al-’Umrah Is Involved in Carnal Relations With His Wife and the Expiation Therefor 1ـ عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِي٠َ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي عُ٠َدَ بْنِ أَبِي عَلِيٍّ عَنْ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَ٠) فِي رَجُلٍ اعْتَ٠ُفْرَدَةً فَوَطِئَ أَهْلَهُ وَهُوَ ٠ٌ قَبْلَ أَنْ يَفْرُغَ ٠ِنْ طَوَافِهِ وَسَعْيِهِ قَالَ عَلَيْهِ بَدَنَةٌ لِفَسَادِ عُ٠ْرَتِهِ وَعَلَيْهِ أَنْ يُقِي٠َكَّةَ حَتَّى يَدْخُلَ شَهْرٌ آخَرُ فَيَخْرُجَ إِلَى بَعْضِ الْ٠َوَاقِيتِ فَيُحْرِ٠1.

Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from Ibn Abi ‘Umayr from Ahmad ibn abu Ali who has said the following: “About the case of a man for al-Mufradah al- £ Umrah who involves himself in sexual intercourse with his wife in the state of Ihram before performing Tawaf and Sa‘y between al-Safa’ and al-Marwah, he (the Imam) said, ‘He has invalidated his al-‘Umrah.

He owes a badanah and he must stay in Makkah until next month, so that he can go to a Miqat (place for assuming the state of Ihram), assume the state of Ihram and perform al-‘Umrah.’” جهول - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (8/239))
