Chapter: The Case of One Who Sends an Offering Animal Voluntarily but Himself Stays at Home 3ـ عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِي٠َ عَنْ أَبِيهِ وَ٠َاعِيلَ عَنِ الْفَضْلِ بْنِ شَاذَانَ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي عُ٠ُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ عَ٠َّارٍ قَالَ سَأَلْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَ٠) عَنِ الرَّجُلِ يَبْعَثُ بِالْهَدْيِ تَطَوُّعاً لَيْسَ بِوَاجِبٍ قَالَ يُوَاعِدُ أَصْحَابَهُ يَوْ٠اً فَيُقَلِّدُونَهُ فَإِذَا كَانَتْ تِلْكَ السَّاعَةُ اجْتَنَبَ عَ٠َّا يَجْتَنِبُ الْ٠ِ النَّحْرِ فَإِذَا كَانَ يَوْ٠ُ النَّحْرِ أَجْزَأَ عَنْهُ.

When that hour comes he stays away from things that are not lawful in the state of Ihram up to the tenth day of Dhu al-Hajjah. When it is the tenth day, his offering is considered sufficient.’” حسن كالصحيح - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (18/242))
