Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from Ibn Abi âUmayr from Aban ibn âUthman from Yahya ibn abu al-âAlaâ who has said the following: âAbu âAbd Allah (a.s.), has said that Amir al-Muâminin (a.s.), would not launch attacks against the enemy until after the declining of the sun toward the west.
He would say, âAt such time the doors of heaven open up, mercy comes forward and victory descends.â He would also say, âSuch time is closer to the night, prone to reduced killing, pursuers return and fleeing ones disappear.ââ ÙØ«Ù - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (MirʾÄt al-Ê¿UqÅ«l fÄ« Sharḥ AkhbÄr Äl al-RasÅ«l (18/354))
