4.A number of our people have narrated from Sahl ibn Ziyad from al-Hassan ibn Ali al-Washshaâ who has said the following: âAbu al-Hassan al-Ridaâ (a.s.), was asked about the legal status of purchasing a female singer. He (the Imam) said, âSometimes a slave-girl of a man makes him go astray. What is then paid for such a slave-girl is like payment to purchase a dog.
