A number of our people have narrated from Ahmad ibn abu âAbd Allah from âUthman ibn âIsa from Samaâah who has said the following: âI once said to abu âAbd Allah (a.s.), âI have noticed that Allah, most High, has mentioned Ribaâ in more than one passages of the Holy Quran.
He (the Imam) asked, âDo you know why He has done so?â I (the narrator) replied, âNo, I do not know.â He (the Imam) said, âIt is because He wants people not to deny performing good and benevolent deeds.ââ ÙØ«Ù - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (MirʾÄt al-Ê¿UqÅ«l fÄ« Sharḥ AkhbÄr Äl al-RasÅ«l (19/125))
