Al-Kāfi - The Book of Commerce Chapter: Merchandise Sold on Credit Is Purchased Back for Cash at a Lower Price Called (‘ Aynah ) َّدٍ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْحَكَ٠ِ عَنْ سَيْفِ بْنِ عَ٠ِيرَةَ عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرٍ الْحَضْرَ٠ِيِّ قَالَ قُلْتُ لأبِي عَبْدِ اللهِ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلا٠) رَجُلٌ يُعَيَّنُ ثُ٠َّ حَلَّ دَيْنُهُ فَلَ٠َا يَقْضِي أَيَتَعَيَّنُ ٠ِنْ صَاحِبِهِ الَّذِي عَيَّنَهُ وَيَقْضِيهِ قَالَ نَعَ٠4.

Ahmad ibn Muhammad has narrated from Ali ibn al-Hakam from Sayf ibn ‘ Amirah from abu Bakr af-Hadramiy who has said the foifowing: “This is concerning my question before abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), ‘A man who is engaged in an al- ’Aynah deal and the payment date has become due but he cannot find anything to pay back his debt; if he can arrange another al- ’Aynah with the same creditor again.’ He (the Imam) said, ‘Yes, he can do so again.’” حسن - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (19/225))
