Al-Kāfi - The Book of Commerce Chapter: Security Deposit ( Al-Rahn ) Mortgage َّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ ٠َّدِ بْنِ الْحُسَيْنِ عَنْ صَفْوَانَ عَنْ يَعْقُوبَ بْنِ شُعَيْبٍ قَالَ سَأَلْتُهُ عَنْ رَجُلٍ يَبِيعُ بِالنَّسِيئَةِ وَيَرْتَهِنُ قَالَ لا بَأْسَ. 2.

Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Muhammad ibn al-Husayn from Safwan from Ya’qub ibn Shu’ayb who has said the following: “I once asked him (the Imam) (a.s.), about the case of a man who bought something on credit with al-Rahn (security deposit).
