Al-Kāfi - The Book of Commerce Chapter: Liability for Safe Deposit and Borrowing 10- عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِي٠َ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي نَجْرَانَ عَنْ عَاصِ٠َيْدٍ عَنْ أَبِي بَصِيرٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللهِ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلا٠ِعْتُهُ يَقُولُ بَعَثَ رَسُولُ اللهِ (صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِه) إِلَى صَفْوَانَ بْنِ أُ٠َيَّةَ فَاسْتَعَارَ ٠ِنْهُ سَبْعِينَ دِرْعاً بِأَطْرَاقِهَا قَالَ فَقَالَ أَغَصْباً يَا ٠َّدُ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ (صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِه) بَلْ عَارِيَّةٌ ٠10.

Ali has narrated from his father from ibn abu Najran from ‘ Asim ibn Humayd from abu Basir who has said the following: “I once heard abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), saying that the Messenger of Allah, O Allah, grant compensation to Muhammad and his family worthy of their services to Your cause, sent a message to Safwan ibn ‘Umayyah asking him to borrow seventy pieces of coats of arms with their helmets.

He asked, ‘Is it forcibly, O Muhammad?’ The Holy Prophet replied, ‘It is borrowing with guarantee to return.’” حسن - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (19/291))
