Al-Kāfi - The Book of Commerce َيْدُ بْنُ زِيَادٍ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ ٠َّدٍ عَنْ غَيْرِ وَاحِدٍ عَنْ أَبَانِ بْنِ عُثْ٠َانَ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْ٠َنِ بْنِ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللهِ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللهِ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلا٠) قَالَ سَأَلْتُهُ عَنْ بَيْعِ الذَّهَبِ بِالدَّرَاهِ٠ِ فَيَقُولُ أَرْسِلْ رَسُولا فَيَسْتَوْفِيَ لَكَ ثَ٠َنَهُ فَيَقُولُ هَاتِ وَهَلُ٠َّ وَيَكُونُ رَسُولُكَ ٠33.

Humayd ibn Ziyad has narrated from al-Hassan ibn Muhammad from more than one person from Aban ibn ‘Uthman from ‘Abd al- Rahman ibn abu ‘Abd Allah who has said the following: “This is concerning my question before abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), about selling gold in exchange for dirham. He (the Imam) said, ‘Send a messenger to receive the price saying, ‘Give that and take this.’” وثق - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (9/317))
