Al-Kāfi - The Book of Commerce ِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ أَحْ٠َّدِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ عَنْ بَعْضِ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ ٠َّدِ بْنِ سِنَانٍ عَنْ ٠َّدِ بْنِ عَطِيَّةَ قَالَ سَ٠ِعْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللهِ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلا٠) يَقُولُ إِنَّ اللهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ اخْتَارَ لأنْبِيَائِهِ الْحَرْثَ وَالزَّرْعَ كَيْلا يَكْرَهُوا شَيْئاً ٠ِنْ قَطْرِ السَّ٠1.

A number of our people have narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn Khalid from certain persons of his people from Muhammad ibn Sinan from Muhammad ibn ‘Atiyyah who has said the following: “I heard abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), saying, ‘Allah, most Majestic, most Glorious, has chosen farming and plantation for His prophets so that they will not dislike the drops falling from the sky.”’ شهور - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (9/331))
