A number of our people have narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn Khalid from âUthman ibn âIsa from Samaâah who has said the following: âOnce abu âAbd Allah (a.s.), was asked about the case of a man who shoots a prey on a mountain or wall. The arrow pierces into it and it dies. He (the Imam) said, âYou can use it for food; but if it falls in water and dies, then do not eat it.
5 â Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from Ibn Abi âUmayr from Hammad from al-Halabiy from âAbd Allah âAlayhi al-Salam, has narrated a similar Hadith. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from certain persons of our people from Hisham ibn Salim from Samaâah from âAbd Allah (a.s.), has narrated a similar Hadith.
