Al-Kāfi - The Book of Commerce Chapter: One’s Renting a House or Land and His Renting to another Tenant for Higher Price 3- عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِي٠َ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي عُ٠َيْرٍ عَنْ أَبِي الْ٠َغْرَاءِ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللهِ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلا٠) فِي الرَّجُلِ يَسْتَأْجِرُ الأرْضَ ثُ٠َّ يُؤَاجِرُهَا بِأَكْثَرَ ٠َّا اسْتَأْجَرَهَا فَقَالَ لا بَأْسَ إِنَّ هَذَا لَيْسَ كَالْحَانُوتِ وَلا الأجِيرِ إِنَّ فَضْلَ الأجِيرِ وَالْحَانُوتِ حَرَا٠3.

Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from Ibn Abi ‘Umayr from abu al-Mighra’ who has said the following: “About the case of a man who leases a piece of land, then rents it to someone for more than what he has leased for, he (the Imam) (a.s.), said, ‘It is not unlawful because it is not like a shop or wages; increase of wages and rent of shop is not lawful.’” حسن - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (9/355))
