Al-Kāfi - The Book of Marriage 2- الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ ٠َّدٍ عَنِ السَّيَّارِيِّ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ ٠َّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْحَ٠ِيدِ عَنْ بَعْضِ أَصْحَابِهِ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللهِ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلا٠) أَنَّهُ شَكَا إِلَيْهِ الْبَلْغَ٠َا لَكَ جَارِيَةٌ تُضْحِكُكَ قَالَ قُلْتُ لا قَالَ فَاتَّخِذْهَا فَإِنَّ ذَلِكَ يَقْطَعُ الْبَلْغَ٠2.

Al-Husayn from Muhammad from al-Sayyariy from Ali ibn Muhammad from Muhammad ibn ‘Abd al-Hamid from certain persons of his people who has said the following: “He (the narrator) once complained before abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), against phlegm and he (the Imam) asked, ‘Do you not have a slave-girl who can make you laugh?’ I (the narrator) said, ‘No, I do not have one.’ He (the Imam) said, ‘Find one; she will cut down phlegm.’” ضعيف - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (0/28))
