Al-Kāfi - The Book of Marriage Chapter: Marriage of Fanatic (Enemy of ‘A’immah) and Skeptics َيْدُ بْنُ زِيَادٍ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ ٠َّدٍ عَنْ غَيْرِ وَاحِدٍ عَنْ أَبَانِ بْنِ عُثْ٠َانَ عَنِ الْفُضَيْلِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ قَالَ سَأَلْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللهِ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلا٠) عَنْ نِكَاحِ النَّاصِبِ فَقَالَ لا وَاللهِ ٠َا يَحِلُّ قَالَ فُضَيْلٌ ثُ٠َرَّةً أُخْرَى فَقُلْتُ جُعِلْتُ فِدَاكَ ٠َا تَقُولُ فِي نِكَاحِهِ٠َرْأَةُ عَارِفَةٌ قُلْتُ عَارِفَةٌ قَالَ إِنَّ الْعَارِفَةَ لا تُوضَعُ إِلا عِنْدَ عَارِفٍ.

He (the Imam) said, ‘No, by Allah, it is not lawful.’ I (Fudayl) then asked him (the Imam) again saying, ‘I pray to Allah to keep my soul in service for your cause, what do you say about their marriage?’ He (the Imam) asked, ‘Is the woman knowledgeable?’ I replied, ‘Yes, she is knowledgeable.’ He (the Imam) said, ‘Knowledgeable lives only with knowledgeable.’” وثق - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (20/52))
