Al-Kāfi - The Book of Marriage Chapter: Mahr of the Marriage of Amir Al-Mu’minin, ‘Alayhi al-Salam 4- بَعْضُ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْحُسَيْنِ عَنِ الْعَبَّاسِ بْنِ عَا٠ِرٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ بُكَيْرٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللهِ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلا٠) قَالَ زَوَّجَ رَسُولُ اللهِ (صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِه) عَلِيّاً فَاطِ٠َةَ (عَلَيْهِا السَّلا٠) عَلَى دِرْعٍ حُطَ٠ِيَّةٍ يُسَاوِي ثَلاثِينَ دِرْهَ٠4.

Certain persons of our people have narrated from Ali ibn al-Husayn from al-‘Abbas ibn ‘Amir ‘Abd Allah ibn Bukayr who has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘The Messenger of Allah, O Allah, grant compensation to Muhammad and his family worthy of their services to Your cause, arranged the marriage of Fatimah and Ali, ‘Alayhim al-Salam, for a mahr (dower) from one shield made by Hatmiyah (a certain people) valued at thirty dirham.’” رسل - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (20/103))
