Al-Kāfi - The Book of Marriage Chapter: Amount of Mahr today is the Mutually Agreed Amount َّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْ٠َّدِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ ٠َّدِ بْنِ الْفُضَيْلِ عَنْ أَبِي الصَّبَّاحِ الْكِنَانِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللهِ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلا٠) قَالَ سَأَلْتُهُ عَنِ الْ٠َا تَرَاضَى عَلَيْهِ النَّاسُ. 1.

Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn ‘Isa from Muhammad ibn ‘Isma’il from Muhammad ibn al- Fudayl from abu al-Sabbah al-Kinaniy who has said the following: “This is concerning my question before abu ‘ Abd Allah (a.s.), about mahr (dower) and its amount.
