5 He (the Imam) has said, âIf he marries her as a virgin and she alleges that he never approached her, it then is the job of trustworthy women who can examine her and if they say that she is virgin then the Imam gives him one yearâs time during which if he is able to reach her, otherwise, they are separated from each other and she is given half of the mahr (dower) and no waiting period is required.ââ
