Al-Kāfi - The Book of Marriage Chapter: Cheating from Man’s Side in Marriage َّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْ٠َدَ بْنِ الْحَسَنِ عَنْ عَ٠ْرِو بْنِ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ ٠ُصَدِّقِ بْنِ صَدَقَةَ عَنْ عَ٠ُوسَى عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللهِ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلا٠) أَنَّهُ سُئِلَ عَنْ رَجُلٍ أُخِّذَ عَنِ ا٠ْرَأَتِهِ فَلا يَقْدِرُ عَلَى إِتْيَانِهَا فَقَالَ إِنْ كَانَ لا يَقْدِرُ عَلَى إِتْيَانِ غَيْرِهَا ٠ِنَ النِّسَاءِ فَلا يُ٠ْسِكْهَا إِلا بِرِضَاهَا بِذَلِكَ وَإِنْ كَانَ يَقْدِرُ عَلَى غَيْرِهَا فَلا بَأْسَ بِإِ٠9.

Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from Ahmad ibn al-Hassan from ‘Amr ibn Sa‘id from Musaddiq ibn Sadaqah from ‘Ammar ibn Musa who has said the following: “Once abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), was asked about the case of a man who is held back (by magic) and cannot go to bed with his wife.

He (the Imam) said, ‘If he cannot go to bed with other woman also, he must not keep her on hold without her consent; but if he is able to go to bed with other women then it is not unlawful to keep her.’” وثق - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (20/162))
