Al-Kāfi - The Book of Marriage Chapter: It ( Mut‘ah ) Must Not Be Practiced if Not Urgently Needed 1- عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِي٠َ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي عُ٠َيْرٍ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ يَقْطِينٍ قَالَ سَأَلْتُ أَبَا الْحَسَنِ ٠ُوسَى (عَلَيْهِ السَّلا٠ُتْعَةِ فَقَالَ وَ٠َا أَنْتَ وَذَاكَ فَقَدْ أَغْنَاكَ اللهُ عَنْهَا قُلْتُ إِنَّ٠َا أَرَدْتُ أَنْ أَعْلَ٠َهَا فَقَالَ هِيَ فِي كِتَابِ عَلِيٍّ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلا٠) فَقُلْتُ نَزِيدُهَا وَتَزْدَادُ فَقَالَ وَهَلْ يَطِيبُهُ إِلا ذَاكَ.

He (the Imam) said, ‘What do you have to do with it when Allah has made you free of need for it?’ I then said, ‘I only wanted to know about it.’ He (the Imam) said, ‘It is in the book of Ali (a.s.).’ I then asked, ‘Can we extend and they women extend (the time)?’ He (the Imam) said, ‘What else makes him happy?”’ حسن - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (20/232))
