A number of our people have narrated from Sahl ibn Ziyad from Muhammad ibn al-Hassan Shammun from âAbd Allah ibn âAbd al- Rahman from Mismaâ who has said the following: âAbu âAbd Allah (a.s.), has said that the Messenger of Allah, O Allah, grant compensation to Muhammad and his family worthy of their services to Your cause, has said, âIt is not lawful for a woman during her experiencing Hayd (menses) to form her hairs in a knot or allow a portion to hang down her forehead.ââ Ø´ÙÙر - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (MirʾÄt al-Ê¿UqÅ«l fÄ« Sharḥ AkhbÄr Äl al-RasÅ«l (20/339))
