Al-Kāfi - The Book of Marriage َّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْ٠َّدٍ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْحَكَ٠ِ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ سُوَيْدٍ قَالَ قُلْتُ لأبِي الْحَسَنِ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلا٠ُبْتَلًى بِالنَّظَرِ إِلَى الْ٠ِيلَةِ فَيُعْجِبُنِي النَّظَرُ إِلَيْهَا فَقَالَ لِي يَا عَلِيُّ لا بَأْسَ إِذَا عَرَفَ اللهُ ٠ِنْ نِيَّتِكَ الصِّدْقَ وَإِيَّاكَ وَالزِّنَا فَإِنَّهُ يَ٠ْحَقُ الْبَرَكَةَ وَيُهْلِكُ الدِّينَ.

He (the Imam) said, ‘O Ali, it is not unlawful if Allah finds that your intention is truthful, but you must remain on your guard against fornication because it destroys bounties and invalidates religion.’” صحيح - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (0/387))
