Al-KÄfi - The Book of âAqiqah (Offering Animal Sacrifice for a Newborn Child) Chapter: On the Seventh Day from Birth the Newbornâs Head is Shaved and a Name is Given to Him اÙÙØÙسÙÙÙÙ٠بÙÙÙ Ù ÙÙد٠عÙÙ٠اÙÙØÙسÙÙ٠بÙÙ٠عÙÙÙÙÙ٠عÙÙ٠أÙبÙاÙ٠عÙÙÙ ØÙÙÙص٠اÙÙÙÙÙÙاسÙÙÙ٠عÙÙ٠أÙبÙ٠عÙبÙد٠اÙÙÙÙÙÙ ( عÙÙ٠اÙسÙا٠ÙÙÙÙÙÙد٠إÙØ°Ùا ÙÙÙÙد٠عÙÙÙ٠عÙÙÙÙÙ ÙÙ ØÙÙÙÙ٠رÙØ£ÙسÙÙÙ Ù٠تÙصÙدÙÙÙ٠بÙÙÙزÙÙÙ Ø´ÙعÙرÙÙÙ ÙÙرÙÙا٠Ù٠أÙÙÙدÙÙ٠إÙÙÙ٠اÙÙÙÙابÙÙÙة٠اÙرÙÙجÙÙÙ Ù٠اÙÙÙÙرÙÙÙ ÙÙ ÙÙدÙعÙÙ ÙÙÙÙر٠٠ÙÙÙÙ ÙÙÙÙØ£ÙÙÙÙÙÙÙÙ ÙÙ ÙÙدÙعÙÙÙÙ ÙÙÙÙغÙÙÙا٠5.
Al-Husayn from Muhammad has narrated from Muâallaâ ibn Muhammad from al-Hassan ibn Ali from Aban from Hafs al-Kunasiy who has said the following: âAbu âAbd Allah, Alayhi al-Salam, has said, âWhen a child is born, Aqiqah must be offered for him, his head should be shaved and equal to the weight of his hairs leaf (of silver) should be given in charity. The leg and hip of the animal slaughtered for Aqiqah should be given to al-Qabilah (the special nurse, doctor).
