Al-Kāfi - The Book of Talaq (Divorces) Chapter: The Divorces Not According to the Book and Sunnah َاعِيلَ عَنِ الْفَضْلِ بْنِ شَاذَانَ عَنْ صَفْوَانَ بْنِ يَحْيَى عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ ٠َّدٍ الْحَلَبِيِّ قَالَ قُلْتُ لِأَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلا٠) الرَّجُلُ يُطَلِّقُ ا٠ْرَأَتَهُ وَ هِيَ حَائِضٌ قَالَ الطَّلَاقُ عَلَى غَيْرِ السُّنَّةِ بَاطِلٌ قُلْتُ فَالرَّجُلُ يُطَلِّقُ ثَلَاثاً فِي ٠َقْعَدٍ قَالَ يُرَدُّ إِلَى السُّنَّةِ.

He (the Imam) said, ‘A divorce which is not according to Sunnah is invalid.’ I then asked, ‘What happens if a man divorces his wife three times in one place and time?’ He (the Imam) said, ‘It must be returned to Sunnah.’” جهول كالصحيح - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (21/99))
