Al-Kāfi - The Book of Talaq (Divorces) Chapter: The Divorces Not According to the Book and Sunnah َّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْ٠َاعِيلَ بْنِ بَزِيعٍ عَنْ ٠َّدِ بْنِ الْفُضَيْلِ عَنْ أَبِي الصَّبَّاحِ الْكِنَانِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلا٠َنْ طَلَّقَ بِغَيْرِ شُهُودٍ فَلَيْسَ بِشَيْ‏ءٍ. 13.

Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from Muhammad ibn ’Isma‘il ibn Bazi‘ from Muhammad ibn al- Fudayl from abu al-Sabbah al-Kinaniy who has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘If one divorces his wife without witnesses it does not become of any valid effect.’” جهول - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (1/103))
