Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from ibn Bukayr from Zurarah who has said the following: âI once asked abu Jaâfar (a.s.), about the case of a man who arranges for the presence of two just witnesses. He then brings two of his wives who both are clean of Hayd (menses) and has not gone to bed with them; then says, âBear witness that these two my wives are âTaliqâ (let go, divorced) and they are clean of Hayd (menses): if divorce takes place or not.
He (the Imam) said, âYes, it is a valid divorce.ââ ÙØ«Ù - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (MirʾÄt al-Ê¿UqÅ«l fÄ« Sharḥ AkhbÄr Äl al-RasÅ«l (21/122))
