Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from Ali ibn al-Hakam from al-âAlaâ ibn Razin from Muhammad ibn Muslim who has said the following: âI once asked one of the two Imam, (abu Jaâfar or abu â Abd Allah), âAlayhim al-Salam, about the case of a man who divorces his wife when he is absent from her. He (the Imam) said, âHis divorce is permissible in all conditions and his wife commences waiting period from the day of divorce.
