Al-Kāfi - The Book of Talaq (Divorces) Chapter: Divorce of One who is not Mature yet and Divorce of One after Menopause ِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي نَجْرَانَ عَنْ صَفْوَانَ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْ٠َنِ بْنِ الْحَجَّاجِ قَالَ قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلا٠) ثَلَاثٌ يَتَزَوَّجْنَ عَلَى كُلِّ حَالٍ الَّتِي لَ٠ِثْلُهَا لَا تَحِيضُ قَالَ قُلْتُ وَ ٠َا حَدُّهَا قَالَ إِذَا أَتَى لَهَا أَقَلُّ ٠ِنْ تِسْعِ سِنِينَ وَ الَّتِي لَ٠ْ يُدْخَلْ بِهَا وَ الَّتِي قَدْ يَئِسَتْ ٠ِثْلُهَا لَا تَحِيضُ قُلْتُ وَ ٠َا حَدُّهَا قَالَ إِذَا كَانَ لَهَا خَ٠4.

A number of our people have narrated from Sahl ibn Ziyad from ibn abu Najran from Safwan from ‘Abd al-Rahman ibn al-Hajj aj who has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘Three kinds of women can marry in all conditions: a woman who does not experience Hayd (menses) and alike whom women do not experience Hayd (menses).’ He (the narrator) has said that I then asked, ‘What is her limit?’ He (the Imam) said, ‘One who is less than nine years, one with whom he has not gone to bed and one after menopause and whose like do not experience Hayd (menses).’ I then asked, ‘What is the limit?’ He (the Imam) said, ‘It is when she becomes fifty years old.’” شهور - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (21/145))
