Al-Kāfi - The Book of Talaq (Divorces) Chapter: A Woman Receives News of the Death of her Husband or her Divorce, Counts her Waiting Period then Marries and her Previous Husband Comes َاعِيلَ عَنِ الْفَضْلِ بْنِ شَاذَانَ وَ عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِي٠َ عَنْ أَبِيهِ جَ٠ِيعاً عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي عُ٠َيْرٍ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِي٠َ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْحَ٠ِيدِ عَنْ أَبِي بَصِيرٍ وَ غَيْرِهِ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلا٠) أَنَّهُ قَالَ فِي شَاهِدَيْنِ شَهِدَا عَلَى ا٠ْرَأَةٍ بِأَنَّ زَوْجَهَا طَلَّقَهَا أَوْ ٠َاتَ فَتَزَوَّجَتْ ثُ٠َّ جَاءَ زَوْجُهَا قَالَ يُضْرَبَانِ الْحَدَّ وَ يُضَ٠َّنَانِ الصَّدَاقَ لِلزَّوْجِ بِ٠َّ تَعْتَدُّ وَ تَرْجِعُ إِلَى زَوْجِهَا الْأَوَّلِ.

They are held responsible for the mahr (dower) to be paid to the husband for deceit; then she counts waiting period and returns to her first husband.’” وثق - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (1/250))
