24.A number of our people have narrated from Sahl ibn Ziyad from al-Qasim ibn Muhammad al-Zayyat who has said the following: âI once said to abu âAbd Allah (a.s.), âI have expressed the statement of al-Zihar about my wife.â He (the Imam) asked, âHow did you say it?â I replied that it was, âYou are like the back of my mother to me if you did so and so.â He (the Imam) said, âIt does not have any valid effect but you must not repeat it again.ââ Ø´ÙÙر - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (MirʾÄt al-Ê¿UqÅ«l fÄ« Sharḥ AkhbÄr Äl al-RasÅ«l (21/264))
