7.A number of our people have narrated from Sahl ibn Ziyad and Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father all from ibn Mahbub from ibn Riâab from abu âUbaydah al-Hadhdhaâ who has said the following: âI once said to abu âAbd Allah (a.s.), âWhat do you say about falcons, hawks and eagle?â He (the Imam) said, âIf you arrive in time to slaughter it properly, then you can use it for food but if you do not arrive in time then do not use it for food.ââ ØØ³Ù ÙØ§ÙصØÙØ - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (MirʾÄt al-Ê¿UqÅ«l fÄ« Sharḥ AkhbÄr Äl al-RasÅ«l (1/343))
