Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from Ibn Abi âUmayr from abu Ayyub who has said the following: âI once asked abu âAbd Allah (a.s.), about the case of a man who catches fish, then ties it to a string, then sends it in the water where it dies; if he can use it for food. He (the Imam) said, âNo, he must not use it for food.ââ Øس٠- Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (MirʾÄt al-Ê¿UqÅ«l fÄ« Sharḥ AkhbÄr Äl al-RasÅ«l (21/357))
