Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from Harun ibn Muslim from Masâadah ibn Sadaqah who has said the following: âAbu âAbd Allah (a.s.), has said, âI heard my father saying, âIf a man sets a fishing net whatever is caught in it dead or alive is lawful for food, except that which does not have scales and the dead fish floating on the water.âââ Ø¶Ø¹ÙÙ - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (MirʾÄt al-Ê¿UqÅ«l fÄ« Sharḥ AkhbÄr Äl al-RasÅ«l (21/361))
