Al-Kāfi - The Book of Food

Chapter: The Child of Adam is Hollow; thus He must Eat Food عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِي٠َ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي عُ٠َّنْ ذَكَرَهُ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلا٠) فِي قَوْلِ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ حِكَايَةً عَنْ ٠ُوسَى ( عليه السلا٠) رَبِّ إِنِّي لِ٠ا أَنْزَلْتَ إِلَيَّ ٠ِنْ خَيْرٍ فَقِيرٌ فَقَالَ سَأَلَ الطَّعَا٠5.

Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from Ibn Abi ‘Umayr from those whom he has mentioned who has said the following: “About the meaning of the words of Allah, most Majestic, most Glorious, quoting Musa (a.s.), ‘My Lord, I am in great need of the good things You have sent to me...’ (27:24) Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘He (Moses) asked for food.’” حسن - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (2/98))
