Al-Kāfi - The Book of Food

َّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ جَعْفَرٍ عَنْ ٠َّدِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ إِبْرَاهِي٠َ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْحَ٠ِيدِ عَنْ سُكَيْنٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلا٠) قَالَ كَانَ النَّبِيُّ ( صلى الله عليه وآله ) يَأْكُلُ الْعَسَلَ وَ يَقُولُ آيَاتٌ ٠ِنَ الْقُرْآنِ وَ ٠َضْغُ اللُّبَانِ يُذِيبُ الْبَلْغَ٠4.

Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from ‘Abd Allah ibn Ja‘far from Muhammad ibn ‘Isa from Ibrahim from ‘Abd Allah al-Hamid from Sukayn who has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said that the Messenger of Allah, O Allah, grant compensation to Muhammad and his family worthy of their services to Your cause, would (say) eating honey, reciting verses of Quran and chewing frankincense dissolve phlegm.’” جهول - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (22/163))
